CNC Machinist needed for growing manufacturing firm in the Pottstown area.

4-day work week!   Mon-Thurs 5: 00am – 3: 00pm (Mon-Thurs) + potential OT on Fridays.

Job Description:
 
SUMMARY: The CNC Set-Up Machinist is responsible for operating and setting-up Swiss CNC machines to meet customer quality requirements and completing necessary machine maintenance tasks.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Convert raw materials into finished product using machines and/or hand-processing.
Build product to standard rate.
Complete product and process inspections
Complete product and material changeovers.
Work safely and look-out for the safety of others
Keep area clean and organized
Maintain required certifications (where applicable)
Interface with computer software to find documents and complete data entry.
Make process adjustments based on quality or process data.
Perform Set-Up Machinist job duties to meet quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals.
Able to work overtime as assigned.
Willing and able to support continuous improvement activities.

 
Job Requirements:
1-2 years of manufacturing or related experience with Swiss CNC. Able to set-up and produce product that consistently meets customer requirements, maintains SPC frequency and appropriately reacting to out of spec conditions. Understands CNC tool theory and Speeds & Feeds concepts as well as programming codes. Independently perform tool kitting operations and create custom tool sheets for new parts and change out bar loaders on machine when appropriate. Ability to multitask. High level of detail orientation. Able to follow detailed work instructions. Capable to perform set-ups on parts with internal and external threads. Able to use basic hand tools and gages. Able to create custom tooling or regrind a tool effectively to make a part to print. Basic mathematical skills. Able to communicate effectively using both verbal and written means.

Willing and able to cross-train and be effective in various processes.
Good oral and written communications skills -- able to explain complex operations and methods clearly and concisely. Technical writing experience preferred.
Able to participate in and advise cross functional project teams
 

Salary commensurate with experience.
